Welcome to the Brigham Education Institute

At Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), we value our reputation of providing world-class medical education to trainees, faculty and other healthcare professionals from across the globe.

Launched in 2016, the Brigham Education Institute (BEI) aims to facilitate the design and implementation of our educational offerings, undertake relevant research, and provide access to resources and professional development opportunities for all educators across Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

A dynamic component of our nationally ranked academic center, the BEI coordinates a wide range of programs specifically focused on the educational development of our constituents.

Through our historic affiliation with Harvard Medical School (HMS), we leverage multiple networks to extend our resources, thus maximizing our collaborative approach to career advancement.

We work in partnership with faculty, administrative colleagues, and educational technologists to ensure that our medical education programs and curricula meets the highest standards and criteria.

We strive to provide educators with the frameworks and methodological skills to design innovative curricula and publications.

We offer resources and programs that directly support the career development requirements of teaching faculty in medicine and allied health fields.

We invite the entire community of BWH medical educators to reach out to us (bwhbei@partners.org) with your ideas, aspirations and questions regarding medical education at the Brigham.
